Use of personal data – Broadnet Apps and Software products:
Any data sent by any Broadnet app will be stored securely and not disclosed to any third party.
It will only be used for the operation of the App features and security – eg to provide sms features with lost passwords.
It will be retained for a period of 6 months after you cease to use the app and securely deleted. The data that can be sent is limited to device telephone (sim) number, iemi number of device and the netid. Also any telephone number sent can be used with your permission for additional features that are being developed which you will have the opportunity to opt into. If you do not wish your device (sim) card telephone number to be sent, select NO when asked when the App or Software product is installed.
(BCS) accepts NO responsibility for the contents of the audio that’s transmitted from one person to another, we set out guidelines to our customers and make it clear that they are to abide by UK or your country’s Laws relating to communications.
(BCS) accepts NO responsibility for any loss, damage or injuries as a result of an outage (loss of communication) for any reason whilst using our system.
(BCS) accepts NO responsibility for the contents and or nature of any audio that’s transmitted via our system.
BroadNet gives people a tool to communicate with each other “freedom of speech” allows them to talk to each other.
Please be courteous, legal, and non-offensive.
You must abide by the communications laws relating to your country (BCS) accepts NO responsibility if you breach this.
Channels and Free Channels:
Free EMG Channels will be used to share information between organisations for example weather conditions, traffic issues, and other relevant information, using these Channels for anything other then information lays at the users risk of information not being passed on and BroadNet Communications systems Ltd accepts no responsibility if this happens.
It will not be controlled by a single controller but if people wanted to assume that role they are welcome to.
BroadNet will have no control over the free EMG network or its content and will not be in a position to actively monitor the Channels, therefore BroadNet has no responsibility over it or the communications made through it, any breach in data protection will lay with the users and not BroadNet.
BroadNet offers the Channels free to users as a tool to share information it’s not designed to act as an emergency dispatch system for any user.
It lays with the users to have their own emergency procedures in place and not use BroadNet channels for this purpose.
BroadNet accepts no responsibility for any loss, damage, death, injure, caused by using these or any other Channels on the system.
BroadNet Communications Systems Ltd is not an emergency service nor can it be relied upon to connect all users at all times, factors such as network outages or loss of signal are not the responsibility of BroadNet Communications Systems.
BroadNet Data Protection Rules
For the security of our users the system is digitally designed to keep all channels separate from each other, only registered users of a said channel can hear the said channel, The system will not allow users to monitor/listen to another users channels.
Attempting to monitor or digitally decoding other users channels without permission is a forbidden and unlawful.
Accessing the system using 3rd party software in any manner other than through BroadNet PTT Android app is STRICTLY PROHIBITED and will result in an instant ban and prosecution.
If you are found to be using 3rd party software for instance Windows or Mac based software to gain or try to gain access to channels you are not authorised to use or monitor, for instance you are not a registered user of that company or organisation and or have no connection to the company or organisation you are trying to access, we will assume this as an unlawful cyber attack on our servers and that you are knowingly trying to gain information (that may be sensitive or restricted to the public) for illegal purposes, such as recording, sharing, modifying, broadcasting, posting on social media, etc, we will not hesitate to pass your details to the Police Cyber Crime Unit for the consideration of prosecution for unlawfully gaining or attempting to gain access to secure private servers by means of hacking, using unauthorised software, code breaking, digitally decoding etc, any user found to be breaching this will result in a ban and also information of the user including name, address, IP Address, and any other information we hold on them will be passed to the Police Cyber Crime Unit.
If you have purchased a handset from BroadNet and are issued with a ban for a breach of our rules you will also forfeit the right to any refund.
BroadNet reserves the right to ban anyone from using the system for any reason without notice.
The BroadNet logo and BN logo are protected by copyright under UK / EU Law, any use without permission could result in prosecution.
BroadNet assumes the right to use customers logos on our website unless told otherwise.
Warranty – Hardware and Software Faults
All our handsets come with a 3 month warranty from point of purchase, this includes hardware and software, we do from time to time do “over the air updates” if it is found that one of these updates has a fault or the hardware has a fault then BCS will put it right as soon as possible. If BCS cannot fix the fault then as long as it is within the 3 month warranty BCS will replace the item for the same or similar item.
If 3 months has passed we can offer to fix faulty handsets for a fee, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
Refunds – Item No Longer Required
Please ensure that the product is right for you and your needs, each order is customised and programmed to individual customer requirements primarily from the manufacturer with versions of software and other technology inserts, and secondly by ourselves at Broadnet. Therefore once an order is placed we cannot refund such order if it is no longer required. We will only refund/replace a device which maybe faulty upon opening the product, or for software/hardware faults within the 3 month warranty. Devices which are dropped, broken or made unusable by the customer cannot be covered in this refund or replacement process.
Our policy lasts 30 days. If 30 days have gone by since your purchase,
BROADNET COMMUNICATIONS SYSTEMS LTD RESERVE THE RIGHT TO REFUSE ANY REFUND OR REPLACEMENT IF IT IS BELIEVED TO BE A FRAUDULENT CLAIM. ONLY SERIAL AND IMEI NUMBERS ASSIGNED TO HANDSETS SOLD BY BROADNET WILL BE HONOURED.

Several types of goods are exempt from being returned.
There are certain situations where only partial refunds are granted: (if applicable)
Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a certain amount of days.
If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.
Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.
Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.

Only regular priced items may be refunded, unfortunately sale items cannot be refunded.
We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange it for the same item, you must first send us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org in order to create a returns note, This can only be done within 30 days after the purchase date and we may exchange like for like meaning you may not get a brand new product in return.
To return your product, you should send us an email first to email@example.com
You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.
Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you, may vary.
If you are shipping an item over £75, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
Delivery is by courier service (tracked) it can take up to 28 days for us to configure your radios and your network although it’s normally much quicker. We may ship to you directly from our supplier in China. We can deliver world wide you may need to ask for a quote. Costs UK – £12.00 to 1kg EU – £17.99 to 1kg US – £35.00 to 1kg please note our system will work out the cost of postage judged by weight.
Payment must be made at time of purchase using Stripe in British Pounds.
Our transactions are managed by a secure online service provided by Stripe through our online store.
